WebSycamore Canyon Campground. Because of its proximity to beaches in Point Mugu State Park and in nearby Malibu, Sycamore Canyon Campground fills up quickly as reservations become available. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance. Campsites are for up to 8 people, 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer. WebHiking 7.35 miles up Ray Miller Trail, across Overlook Fire Road, and down La Jolla Canyon Trail. Hiking 6.5 miles round trip up Mugu Peak Trail to the summit. La Jolla Canyon Loop is largely sun-exposed, so pack plenty of water and sunscreen. No dogs are allowed. An $8 vehicle fee is charged to park at the trailhead.
